An OK friend

Driving from Chicagoland to the Phoenix area for the first time, I ran into this guy in Oklahoma. It was cute how he approached with his head slightly down. I heard that when a horse does that, it means that it wants to get to know you, or is curious about you.

Motel Califorina

The Stagecoach Inn, in remote Seligman, California. A beautiful, retro sign from a more innocent time in America. Also back when the gas prices were alot lower. I would love to be transported back to those carefree days of yesteryear.

Memories of Texas

I sorted through my photos again for a new project, and I was remembering the almost abandoned gas station near Shamrock, Texas with the grumpy old man behind the counter. As I bought a cup of stale coffee from the man, I asked him about the truck. He simply yelled at me, saying it was for sale for $700. I miss being on the road, but I must find a solid job in Chicago.

Sanfran still

A still life from my brief time in San Francisco. Taken somewhere in Chinatown.

Reworked and color subtracted a photo from a few years ago. Pretty girl in a green coat on Wabash Ave. drinking coffee, downtown Chicago.

Departed

On the way back from a small town nestled in a deep valley Superstition Mountains. Tortilla Flats, Arizona. I saw this death marker on the side of the road and decided to stop and take a photo. I am not sure who this person was or how this person died. I assume it was a [...]

Failure

This was taken in 2003 I believe, before I went out on a day of photography. I look back to how I was, and can’t help but feel that I have become a huge failure in life.

Irish I had a beer chick

What a funny hat, and a cool chick. This photo was taken at the southside irish parade back in 2005.

Deep in thought

A man sits at Promotory Point, on the shore of Lake Michigan. X seems to mark the spot. Is he praying or thinking?

In the storm

A photo of a women who wanted to be in a bikini competition. “Julie” at the time of this photo was 40 years old. Very fit for her age wouldn’t you agree?
